The measurement of diffuse-field sound absorption coefficients can be performed according to AS ISO 354 and ASTM 423. Examples of samples which can be tested include: panel and slot or perforated panel absorbers, carpet, wall/ceiling linings, theatre seats and wall/ceiling cavity insulation.
